FGBC Hurricane Harvey Coalition

United in Vision: FGBC Harvey Coalition Introductory Meeting

(See the Sept 9th Update at the bottom of this post)

A coalition of local churches in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Church (FGBC) is coming together to serve alongside multiple churches in the effected region. While details are still coming together, we want to invite more leaders and churches to be introduced to the current plans and to participate in demonstrating the Good News.

At this point, we can outline the following:

  • a growing coalition comprised of 15+ FGBC churches
  • our goal is to send sustained help (teams) to serve over a period of approximately 3 months.
  • the hope is to deploy around 15 teams from mid-September to mid-December
  • NOW there is a Hurricane Irma getting ready to impact us too. Preparations are being made around this as well.

If you, or a leader in your church family would like to be part of a conference/online call so that your church can consider being part of this effort, we have scheduled a GoTo Meeting on FRIDAY, September 8 at 2:00 PM Eastern time. Barb Wooler, Director of Crisis Response with Encompass World Partners, who has been to Texas in the effected region this week, will be presenting during the call.

Please RSVP to the following Google Document https://t.co/LzcLjiXljp   as we only have space for 25 attendees.  Information about how to login to the meeting will be sent after you fill out the RSVP form.  If we get too many RSVP’s we will seek to set up another call. We will record the session as well.

If you or your church is desirous to Give financially you can do so online at this  link   or by check:

  • Made out to: Encompass World Partners
  • Mailed to: Encompass World Partners, PO Box 3298 Monument, CO 80132-3290
  • Write on note line: Hurricane Harvey/7847

Thanks for your interest and be praying for those impacted by Harvey and now Irma!
